Liu Shi Shi as Long Kui (Chinese Paladin 3)

Today I decided to prac­tice and brush up my dig­i­tal paint­ing skills. I’m an ama­teur when it comes to light­ing and colour; as you can see in the work below. But hey, every­one has to start some­where, right?

I ran­domly did a por­trait draw­ing of Liu Shi Shi as Long Kui from Chi­nese Pal­adin 3 仙劍奇俠傳3. I haven’t watched it yet and I have no idea who Liu Shi Shi is, but she has a pretty face so there you go :D

I spent the most time and effort on her face, and got pretty lazy by the end of it and quickly rushed the hair and clothes x_​x I tend to do that a lot which is really bad. It’s not com­plete but it will prob­a­bly stay incomplete.

The hard­est aspect is still the skin tones and to blend them together well. Right now you can clearly see blobs of paint  >_​< This is still some­thing that bog­gles my mind..how to do it? @__@

Wow, doesn’t she look like a real per­son..? (If you ignore the scrappy hair XD) Looks a bit like Liu Yi Fei too actu­ally o_​o

Any­way, it was good fun and prac­tice :) Hope you enjoyed look­ing at the work-​​in-​​progress. It took about 6 hours total.

Nice work of SS! I really enjoyed watch­ing CP3 :P SS is a main­land actress and played Hu Ge’s “sis­ter” in the series :)

yeah, I’ll really need more prac­tice with blend­ing the colours. Maybe there’s a good pho­to­shop brush for that…

Cool draw­ing =). Yeah, it’s hard to get those blobs of colour to go away. I remem­ber that.
